The Surface Deployment and Distribution
Command (SDDC) is the traffic manager
for the DOD and the official host of the SDDC Symposium, which
includes the NDTA Expo. The Symposium has become increasingly
important to the intermodal distribution system and also
to the passenger travel industry and moving and storage
industries among others.
More and more leading transportation companies target
the NDTA Expo at the SDDC Symposium as
a “must do” event. Expo attendees come from
all military service branches and also from the Defense
Transportation Management Office (DTMO), the US Transportation
Command (USTRANSCOM) and its components and federal agencies
like the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and General
Services Administration (GSA). These are the DECISION MAKERS
when it comes to moving supplies, assisting military and
government travelers or providing distribution services
and logistical support.
