JUST FOR GOLFERS
Q
Is there an extra charge for carrying golf clubs/bag as luggage on the aircraft?
A
On most airlines one golf bag is acceptable up to 50 pounds as the passenger’s one free checked bag or is accepted in lieu of a piece of baggage.  If the bag exceeds 50 pounds, excess baggage fees may apply.  The outside linear dimensions may exceed 80 inches and no excess baggage fees will apply.   Click HERE and “surf” for specifics that concern the airline you will travel with. The link provides information for most of the carriers.  But, be advised - airline regulations seem to change daily, so double check before you head to Reno / Tahoe. TOP
